HelloHola does not ask you to create an account, does not ask for your name, e-mail address or phone number, and does not use advertising or tracking services. Your learning progress stays on your device.
The app stores the following on your device only: the language you speak, the language you are learning, which sets you have completed, your answers within a set, your review list, your daily streak and whether automatic playback is on. This data is never uploaded to us. If you delete the app, it is deleted with it.
If you buy a subscription, the payment is processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
To check whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt issued by Apple and an anonymous identifier created for your installation. It does not receive your name or e-mail address. You can read their policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Apple may also share aggregated, anonymous statistics with us through App Store Connect, such as the number of downloads. These reports do not identify individual users.
Pronunciation is produced by the text-to-speech engine built into your device. Words are read locally. Some system voices may require a download from your device manufacturer; that process is managed by your operating system, not by us.
When you tap the challenge button, the app creates an image on your device and opens the standard share menu. You decide whether and where to send it. Nothing is uploaded automatically.
HelloHola is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, write to us and we will respond.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
