[email protected]You choose the language you speak and the language you want to learn. The app then teaches the most frequently used words and phrases of that language, from level A1 to C2, in sets of 100 items. You hear the word, you pick its meaning among four options, and everything you get wrong goes to your review list.
No account and no internet connection are needed. Your progress is stored on your device only.
In every course the first three word sets and the first phrase set of level A1 are free. Premium unlocks all remaining sets in all levels and all courses.
Prices are shown in your local currency on the subscription screen. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → HelloHola → Cancel Subscription.
Refund requests are also handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you paid by mistake, write to us and we will help you with the process.
If you change your phone or reinstall the app, open the subscription screen and tap Restore. Use the same Apple Account you purchased with.
HelloHola uses the text-to-speech voices that are built into your device, so no audio files are downloaded. If a language stays silent, the voice for that language may not be installed. Install it in Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices, then reopen the app.
Your progress is kept per language pair, for example "English speaker learning Spanish". Changing the interface language or the course does not delete anything. You can clear the progress of the current course from the Progress tab.
Deleting the app deletes all progress, because nothing is stored on our servers.
